Kate was born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia, USA)
to a family full of boys. She has made her way through life as an artist,
baker, printmaker, bookbinder, career counselor, letter writer, marketer,
reiki practioner, yoga teacher, puppeteer, travel agent, dance critic,
farmer, wellness consultant, jeweler, personal trainer, model, stilt walker,
uncertified public accountant, organizer, photographer, massage therapist,
collector, archivist, designer, hustler, and, every-so-often, a Top-40 DJ.
Kate first came to India in 2004 to study traditional medicine in Bangalore
where she met a psychic reiki master and first became enamored with the
chaos. Returning a few years later, she has been a devotee of the Sound
Tamasha family since her first encounter on Valentine's Day 2009. She has
designed fliers for Sound Tamasha, and continues to write on India from her
current location back in Philadelphia. In all of her time spent traveling in
South Asia, she has still yet to visit the Taj Mahal.
