Line-Up Changed!!!

BEN MONO - the latest addition to our fabulous Sound Tamasha family - will play instead of André Gardeja! But no hard feelings, on the coming Saturday, they will both perform together at Zook (flyer will be up soon)....

Finally the day has come and we from Sound Tamasha - together with our partners Max Mueller Bhavan, Freizeitglauben, Fever 104 FM, Berlin Music Commission, Bacardi, Gorbatschow, Jagpin Breweries, Aqua and Park Hotel - will celebrate the release of our 'Sound Tamasha - Spectaculicious House (Creative Commons Only)' compilation on the 16th October 2010 from 6pm to 10.30pm at Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan. After the party ha...s ended, we will all move on to the amazing after show party at Aqua (Park Hotel) which will start at 10.30pm and continue at least until 2am.

From 16.10.2010 onwards, everybody on the whole planet can (and should!) download the special Creative Commons release (6 original tracks plus a special guest remix) of our 'Sound Tamasha - Spectaculicious House (Only)' compilation. Due to the weather forecast for today / tonight, which predicts apocalyptic showers and freezing temperatures, Bar25 moved the Bollywood Sound Tamasha to THIS FRIDAY (Sept. 10th) from 10pm - 2am. Due to the shorter slot, 22ROCKETS will not play, the other line-up stays the same.

We hope you still have some energy for our Bollywood Sound Tamasha party after our record release party the day before, because the mission for the Bollywood Sound Tamasha is to show the Berliners how to party Desi style. At one of Berlin's hottest locations - Bar25 - where things are a little bit crazier than in most other venues anyway, this is surely going to freakishly funny.

The selected artists and performers for the night will make you go masti, you got our guarantee for that! Besides the very first Sound Tamasha Resident DJ ever - 22ROCKETS - we also got special support this time from Germany's number one Indian Soundsystem, the famous Bombay Boogie DJ Team (from Bombay Boogie Nights fame), outstanding Sitar and Tabla performances by Sebastian Dreyer and - something for your eyes - Zaraa-Vi, the Queen of Bollywood Dance showing us her performance!

This is something you surely can't afford to miss out on!

Today it's exactly one week until the release of our first compilation CD Spectaculicious House (Only)), and we hope you are as excited as we are. In case you have not done that already, please LISTEN to the 2min TRACK SAMPLES and enjoy the specataculicous music our artists have created for you!

To celebrate the occassion, we invite you to the first of our two release parties at Sage Beach Restaurant (Facebook event link in Berlin on the 8th of September, starting at 2pm and lasting all day .

On Thursday night from 8 pm onwards the Sound Tamasha, Smiletrans and Shalom present a unique event – a Sound Tamasha from Tokyo, a magical evening composed of electronic music, sitar and tabla: "AlayaVijana India Live".

A true Tamasha comes in many shapes, it plays with genres, musical styles, traditions and a vari...ety of performances. Once again the Sound Tamasha explores how music unites its lovers across continents:

Daikiti Yoshida, presenting his own fusion of electronica and sitar, accompanied by Arunangshu Chaudhury on the tabla, has played with musicians like Jim O'Rourke (formerly Sonic Youth) and Patricia Lobato (Brazil). He has performed at festivals such as the „Solar Eclipse Festival 2010“ and as the supporting act of Sonic Youth’s Japan tour.

"AlayaVijana India” will perform live at Shalom. Entrance is free, feel free to bring your friends and family!

Culture Must, UFO Entertainment and G-Shock present the first Disco Sound Tamasha. A genre of dance music whose popularity peaked during the middle to late 1970s now is back in one of Delhi’s hippest party locations at Café Oz. On 20.08.2010 Purely Physical from Paris and DJ Jijico from Tokyo will show us what the mix of funk, latin and soul music is all about. Visual art by Yo San will accompany the sounds to create a true spectacle in the spirit of every Tamasha.

Fusing various Disco elements Purely Physical and DJ Jijico will take us back in time feeling the awesomiciousness of the glorious disco nights. A flashy outfit, groovy legs, and stylish friends are more than welcomed. Everybody planning to come in sneakers, croc sandals or other type of foot gear can also show up in a pair of roller skates.
